Jam tomorrow….

….what a wonderful phrase, for all you budding photographers out there, ignore at your peril otherwise you’ll end up with statements like:
The additional incentive to all involed was that if we get a record deal your work would become very high profile to which you would get a lot of work off the back of my name.
The above quote (is real and not made up) is of course rubbish, no unsigned artist is guaranteed anything and it’s the photographers work which gets them commissions not false promises.
It may hurt sometimes to say no! but in the long term, you will benefit.
Your work has a value regardless of who is paying for it, if the client really wants you, then they’ll pay, if not, move on and don’t reduce your fee on the basis of these false promises, if you are tempted with the above offer, remember you have been warned !

Update….
Unfortunately due to some serious family issues the site has had to take a back seat for the past few months but as they are mostly resolved now things will be back to normal very soon, there are some major updates on the way plus some improvements with the site, mostly background changes that will improve the usability and stabilty, also the content will be updated to include all the current projects and photographs.
Many thanks.

Future site updates
All news relating to site updates or changes are now posted at EMS for convenience and so this site can report any news just relating to photography which is what it is intended for, it makes life much easier and saves you reading stuff that is unrelated.
There will be a small notice placed in the right sidebar when EMS is updated, so you can still check about any updates if you want to.
Thank you.
Save Live Music

Petition to stop licenses being required for small music events
There is a government move to make it very difficult for musicians to perform live in small venues, or for schools, pubs and charities to raise money for causes through musical events.
The new legislation requires all performances by schools in the local community to have a license, and will burden teachers & professional musicians with the need to apply for, and pay a license fee.
